David Fricke is a contemporary sculptor working in steel, iron, wood and glass. Raised in West Tennessee and educated in Boston, Massachusetts, Fricke seeks to create objects that tangibly bridge rural and industrial imagery through the use of material, form and poetry. The combination of traditional materials and written word allow the works to speak conversationally in an ever evolving social context. Fricke's work has been shown at Massachusetts College of Art's galleries, the Lincoln Arts Project (2015), the University of Alabama, Birmingham/ SLOSS Metal Arts (2017). Fricke is currently constructing studio spaces for future artistic endeavors in Crawford, TN.
