Over 40 years as professional artists, living among the majestic hills and hollows of middle Tennessee, we have enjoyed the proficient experience of many clay, glaze and firing techniques; from high-fired functional stoneware to low-fire decorative Raku, of which we have had the honor of national recognition. Our clay works continue to evolve as we welcome another new discovery. Most recently we have embraced the surprise and spontaneity of primitive firings. Clay often awakens our creative intellect, but we also enjoy the physical challenge. Using our hands, working with a part of the Earth, helps connect with the tangible and spiritual. These elements collectively help fuel our imaginations and inspire us to create expressive works of art.
