I
was born in the highlands of Puerto Rico in 1945, the year World
War II ended, to a family of artists. I moved to San Francisco
at the ago of five and attended public school. During my years
in High School I have my first showing, at the Museum of Modern
Art, in San Francisco.
I studied Art at the local Community College for a couple of years,
then off to war (Vietnam), though my theater of operations was
Germany, where I took up the Art of Photography. I returned back
to the bay area, entered a few art shows, then off to the wonderful
world of the daily grind and eventually to work for Levi Strauss
& Company, as Director of Advertising. There I found myself, along
with some great individuals, working toward the education of Aids
Prevention. I was honored to be on the Board of Directors of the
New Conservatory Children's Theater, working again in the field
of Aids prevention.
Now I find myself here, in the beautiful land of Tennessee, retired
from the never-ending work force, picking up the pieces of my
life and creating art again. Starting my painting, photography,
jewelry design and digital painting (Digiographs) once again.
